Yesterday I was so surprised to check my email and find that DYLAN was given the selective title of "Vimeo Staff Pick"! So incredible! In just over 24 hours the film has been watched over 15K times! It is an amazing feeling to know so many people have watched and responded to the film.

Dylan on Arts Report on CiTR Vancouver 101.9

I was on Arts Report on CiTR Vancouver 101.9 to discuss my short film Dylan! The response to the film has been very inspiring. CiTR 101.9 FM is the broadcasting voice of the University of British Columbia (UBC), bringing alternative programming to over two million listeners from Bellingham to Squamish, Point Grey to Langley. You can listen to the entire broadcast here. 

The Perfect Victim on World Channel!

The Perfect Victim premiered on World Channel on April 14th! I was able to do a bunch of press for the film, which you can find links to under the press section of my website.  It was incredibly rewarding to see the film on tv, and amazing to hear about the positive responses we have received! A highlight for me was doing some interviews with Amy Lorenz-Moser and Tanya Mitchell.  Seeing Tanya out of prison and so happy was a great treat.  She is a different person and has a full life!

On April 9th at 2PM, I will be representing The Perfect Victim by participating in a special screening and online discussion about rape and intimate partner violence hosted by World Channel and RAINN. The Perfect Victim Premieres on World Channel in 1 week!

I am so thrilled that The Perfect Victim will being premiering on World Channel on April 14th at 8PM EST.  The film is part of their amazing series, America Reframed, produced by WGBH Boston.  I am honored to be in such amazing company and have loved watching all of their films. DYLAN Accepted into the 23rd Annual Queer Film Festival!

So happy to have Dylan accepted to screen at the University of Oregon's Queer Film Festival. From their letter...

"The UO Queer Film Festival is an annual festival of feature films, documentaries, short films, video and digital media projects that addresses the lives, concerns, and experiences of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people, intersexuals, two-spirit people, and other “queers.”…. We're very excited to be able to put on this event and we are intent in raising community awareness about the social inequities and injustices faced by queer people in North American and other societies. International in scope, the QFF contributes to an increasingly global movement for queer rights, equality with heterosexuals and traditional gender individuals, and gender and sexual freedom for all individuals and groups."

DYLAN premieres at the St. Louis International Film Festival!

My short film, DYLAN, premiered at the St. Louis Film Festival. I was thrilled to have my friend, Dylan Winn Garner, who the film is based on attend the screening with his wife Marci. It was so awesome to see something I made at the Tivoli Theater - one of my favorite theaters of all time. I'm psyched to have audiences seeing the film and hearing their reactions!

Melbourne Queer Film Festival

Woo hoo! DYLAN has just been accepted to the Melbourne Queer Film Festival - one of the oldest queer film festivals in the world! Only wish I could attend and visit Australia, home of Muriel's Wedding, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, and Strictly Ballroom.
